  1. Proud of our city and the behavior this past week! Appreciate how #BLMM has worked so hard to avoid violence and confrontations. In this regard, Memphis has been a model for the rest of the country in affecting peaceful protest. Bravo!

This piece was quite informative and I truly appreciate the presentation. Not sure if you have it readily available, but my only critique was for the great need of a proofreader/editor. If needed, I would be willing to volunteer to proof materials for the newsletter.

Keep hope alive! Hope for the #BLMM movement, Memphis and the country. Peace

    1. I’m not a black American, I don’t consider myself white but a human being. I am posting this out of heartbreak for our city, our children our future! Please, please, please I beg of you to please help stop the violence, crimes and self hate that is in the black community that has been nonstop aired on the news! All lives matter! We as humans all matter! But when I see our children killing others, robbing and stealing and smiling in a mug shot because they did these things my heart cries out please stop! Lets not just make a change in our judicial systems lets not make their wrongs be the only thing we attempt to start but lets make our neighborhood, families, school and making a real solid changes in how our childrens future is! We have to start somewhere now so let’s start at home and save and protect many!

I am trying to put together a protest for Steven Askew who was shot at over 20 times by 2 Memphis Police Officers. My protest will be me walking in Memphis with body paint on only with #Justice4StevenAskew & #BLMMemphis painted on me. I have media outlets and colleagues that are willing to support for the cause.

  4. My daughter was beaten by an Asian nail salon owner and his employees. The police charged her with vandalism for a broken planter and the door in which the owner threw her into the glass door. They fail to arrest them stating that we were making accusations as retaliation for her arrest. Prior to the police arriving to the scene I called 911 because my daughter had managed to call me and I heard Asian women speaking in their native tongue as she sighed from the blows. As of today my daughter’s charged with a trumped up charge while her attackers go free.

  5. I’m a white middle class male who lives in a suburb of Memphis. When I drive to urban Memphis I’m consistently struck by the predatory practices of certain businesses like payday loans, liquor stores, dollar stores, pawn shops and lastly personal injury attorneys. These legal entities as well as real estate practices are keeping people in the urban community down. Someone needs to work to keep these businesses in check. I have 5 grocery stores within a short distance of me. You could get a short term loan, gun, or bottle of liquor easier than an apple in urban Memphis. Anyone want to do anything about this please let me know and let’s work together.

  6. Hi There,
Can I pray for y’all? God’s guiding me on this one, but He has been clear enough for me to understand I need to be praying for y’all and with y’all. If you have a list of specific prayer requests I’d love to be able to lift those up to God through the power of prayer. I’d also love it if I could join y’all in prayer, maybe prior to the start of a meeting or function/event, or even In the middle of a work day, just because ☺️. As for now, I’ll be praying for y’all, Memphis and also, that He may guide y’all’s operation. Please, reach out if you have any questions or want to send over your requests.
